Day 1
Kigali Arrival
Transfer to your hotel. Tour Kigali city and the Genocide Memorial Centre.
Day 2
Akagera Big Five Safari
Drive to Akagera National Park. Afternoon game drive tracking lions and elephants near wetlands.
Day 3
Lake Ihema Boat Cruise
Morning boat safari on Lake Ihema to spot crocodiles and hippos. Afternoon game drive in the savannah.
Day 4
Drive to Volcanoes National Park
Drive back through Kigali and head into the Volcanic Highlands. Check into a luxury forest lodge.
Day 5
Volcanoes Gorilla Tracking
Hike into the bamboo forest alongside park rangers. Spend one hour with a mountain gorilla family.
Day 6
Lake Kivu Relaxation
Drive to Gisenyi on the shores of Lake Kivu. Walk on sandy beaches and watch the sunset over the lake.
Day 7
Lake Kivu Kayaking
Guided sea kayaking trip through quiet bays and mangrove channels. Evening beach bonfire dinner.
Day 8
Return to Kigali
Final morning by the lake, then drive back to Kigali for departure.
