Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: June 16, 2026

Welcome to Storm Safaris. Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking any tour package, safari, or holiday with us. By finalizing a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Bookings & Payments

  • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required to secure reservations for hotels, flights, and safari vehicles.
  • Final Payment: The remaining 70% balance must be paid at least 45 days before the scheduled departure date. If booking is made within 45 days of departure, full payment is required immediately.
  • Payment Channels: We accept online payments securely via PayPal, Paystack (Credit/Debit Card), or M-Pesa Express.

2. Gorilla and Chimpanzee Permits

Wildlife tracking permits (such as gorilla permits in Uganda and Rwanda) are booked directly from the national park authorities. Under national park regulations, **permits are 100% non-refundable and non-transferable** once purchased. If you cancel your tour, the permit fees cannot be refunded or adjusted.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must submit a written notification. Cancellation fees are calculated as follows (excluding permit fees):

Cancellation Notice Period Cancellation Fee Charged
More than 60 days before departure 30% of total price (the deposit)
45 to 59 days before departure 50% of total price
30 to 44 days before departure 75% of total price
Less than 30 days before departure 100% of total price (No refund)

4. Travel Insurance

It is a mandatory condition of booking that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance. Your policy must cover personal injury, emergency medical expenses, evacuation costs, luggage loss, and trip cancellation/curtailment.

5. Changes to Itinerary

While we make every effort to adhere to the agreed itinerary, Storm Safaris reserves the right to alter routes, accommodation, or transportation schedules due to local road conditions, weather, safety concerns, or guest preferences. We will notify you of any major changes as early as possible.

6. Liability & Wildlife Hazards

Traveling in the African wilderness carries inherent risk. Viewing wild animals in their natural habitats involves closeness to unpredictable wildlife. Storm Safaris is not liable for injury, damage, loss, delay, or expense resulting from events beyond our control, including animal behavior, natural disasters, political instability, or flight delays.

7. Force Majeure

Storm Safaris cannot accept liability or pay compensation where the performance of our travel obligations is affected by "force majeure"—events including but not limited to war, civil war, health pandemics, border closures, national emergencies, extreme weather conditions, or fire.
